IMG_3836Pamela Clifton Malzbender, The one who never says “No”

I’ve always been busy! If someone needed a job done they alway tended to call one me. It’s part of who I am to not say “No” but there is busy for the sake of busy and there is busy to make a difference.  That’s what I strive for.  I want to make a difference in people’s lives one person at a time.  I love working with others who are passionate about causes they support and don’t punch a clock but instead roll up their sleeves to do anything that is needed to see positive change.

Women’s Advocate

april at show eventyI work hard on women’s issues from education to healthcare to equal pay, I am an advocate and mentor to women and girls who struggle to make it on their own.  I hate to injustice or cruelty.  I provide my leadership and expertise to a number of local nonprofit organizations. I am the co-chair of Zonta EducateZ, a project to support women and girls with the tools for academic success. I sit on the Advisory Board  for Boulder Valley Schools Teen Parenting Program and am a mentor to Boulder High’s Adelanté and Z Club programs. I also served as a tutor and board member for Boulder Reads, an adult literacy program. I am proud to have been a founding member of the United Way’s six person steering committee to launch Boulder’s Imagination Library, a national program through Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Foundation. Since launch, 65,000 books have been mailed to 2,000 pre-school age children in Boulder and Broomfield counties.

Singer

I have been involved in choirs and musical performances since I was a child. I am an active member of Cantabile a Boulder-based vocal ensemble, serving on its board for over 18 years, and as President from 2001-2004 and 2012-14. It’s wonderful to make music that can move spirits and reach people’s souls.  I feel lucky to have had singing be a part of my life for all these years!IMG_0585
